Hi everyone! I think this is the first time ever that I am posting a monthly set-up post before the new month actually begins! 😛 This time if any of you need some inspiration for how to set April up in your bullet journal, hopefully this post is up in time to help you out!
If you follow my Bullet Journal Instagram page, you’ll notice that I’ve been loving trying out new spreads in my new bullet journal. By the way, if any of you are looking to find an affordable and cute gridded bullet journal, you can check out the one I use by clicking here.
I’ve been using a bullet journal for almost one and a half years now and I have always been doing the same monthly spread until now! I just loved the way I did it because I’ve found that it always worked well for me. How I used to do it is the very standard way of just having the dates listed vertically on the left page and in the square right next to the date, the corresponding day. I’ve just decided to change it up a little bit for April because I’ve noticed the aesthetics of my bullet journal changing over the past few weeks.
This new way (sort of looks like a calendar) of setting up my monthly spread is a little bit more time consuming to set up than the regular listed dates and days do, but I just love the way it looks! I’ve also been doing lots of floral doodles lately if you can’t tell 🙂
For readers using my bullet journal, if you’re looking for the measurements that I’ve used to set up my little table calendar, they are asfollows:
- 7 rows, 5 or 4 columns (top 2 columns have 5 and the rest have 4)
- 4 (height) x 5 (width) squares each
- except for the 5th column, in which the squares are 4 x 4 squares to fit the page
- April only has 30 days, but if you were to do this on a month that has 31 days, just add an extra square at the end of the third row!
If you haven’t noticed already – I LOVE pastel colours, especially pastel pink! 🙂 This week, we are transitioning from March to April (EXCITING), and I’ve done a completely new weekly spread. I personally love how it looks. It’s sort of minimal but still super fun and cute at the same time.
Instead of having an entire section dedicated to water tracking, I’ve just decided to do my water tracker on each daily section instead (as you can see was done for Monday). Below each daily water tracker, I’ve also added left some space and a dollar sign ($) where I can write down at the end of the day how much I had spent that day. It’s a really simple but helpful feature which I’ve never done before but I think it’ll be great for me to see at the end of the week how I did in terms of spending.
I took out my food log feature that I had last week because I just felt like it was a bit tedious to do especially since I meal prep and my meals are often repeated everyday. Something I just HAD to continue to include for this weeks spread is my little workout and yoga tracker which I’ve done as a habit tracker here.
How lovely is that quote I added in? I love quotes just as a daily reminder everytime I check in with my bullet journal! Clothe yourself with humility.
Thank you guys for reading and wishing you all a beautiful end to March, and an even more wonderful start to April!
