If you’re part of the instagram/pinterest/facebook community of bullet journalists, you’ll probably have known that a few days ago (August 8th) was a celebration of 4 years of bullet journaling. 4 years ago, Ryder Carroll introduced the system of bullet journaling to the world and ever since then it has been growing and evolving into a system that is beneficial to us in so many more ways than just organisation.
For me, bullet journaling is an escape for a moment from my worries and stresses of the world – similar to how yoga or meditation is. It’s a way for me to release my inner creativity and also to connect with so many other wonderfully talented people in the world. The community of bullet journalists are so incredibly kind and I’m grateful for those of you who follow my blog and my bullet journal Instagram page @lustthatbujo. With all your kind comments and interactions, I feel like I have found a place in the world where I am somewhat respected and involved, so thank you all!
In a time in the world where digitalisation is becoming so profound, I’m glad that we can still appreciate such a system that lets us get away from all our technology and really sit alone with pen and paper to appreciate the art of drawing, writing, painting and calligraphy. Let’s not let the technological age take bullet journaling away from us!
Stay inspired everyone, and thank you Ryder Carroll!
